1.3 Machining and assembly inspection of the rudder equipment (Semi-spade rudder with flange for example)
1.3.1 The inspection on the processing of the rudder stocks
After processing of the rudder stocks, magnetic particle and ultrasonic nondestructive testing is to be carried out to comply with the relevant standards.
Take the measurement of dimension and roughness of the working surface according to the plans, which are to comply with the requirements of plans and procedure documents.
The processing of the coupling flange surfaces of rudder stocks requires the vertical deviation of the centerline of the rudder stocks and the surface is to be no more than 0.05m (within the scope of the flange surface).The width and depth of the keyways of rudder stocks is to comply with the dimensional tolerances of plans.
1.3.2 The inspection on the processing of rudder stock liner
The inner and outer circles of rudder stock liners are processed in accordance with the draft. Before the shaft liners heating to the rudder stock, use the inner and outside micrometer to measure the inner circle and the rudder shaft diameter separately, the interference is to comply with the requirements.
1.3.3 The inspection on the processing of rudder blades
1.3.3.1 The inspection on the processing of rudder pin holes

Take measurements on taper of the upper and lower pin holes after processing, to comply with the requirements on dimensional tolerances and surface roughness in the plans.
The center of the upper and lower holes are to be on the same axis. For proper alignment, refer to China Shipbuilding Quality Standard (CB/T4000-2005).
Dimensions of the end faces of the tapered bore ring groove processing are to comply with the dimensional tolerances.
1.3.3.2 The inspection on the processing of rudder blades connection surfaces
After processing of the bolt hole, a measurement is to be taken on the dimension of the bolt holes and the center distances;
The processed the connecting surfaces are to be matched with rudder stock flange surface: color oil uniform exposure refers to the following standard: not less than 2~3 points on each 25×5(mm2) exposed surface, contacting areas are more than 70%, the 0.05mm feeler gauge is not to slide in the gap, if so, the depth is not to be more than 15mm.
1.3.4 The inspection on the processing of pintles
Take measurement on roughness of the visual dimensions in accordance with the plan after processing. The taper part of the pintles are to match the the taper of the bores in the blades, the pintle threads are to match the screw nuts. After fabrication of the pintles, the ultrasonic nondestructive testing is to be carried out , no crack is to be detected. The taper part of the pintles are to match the the taper of the bores in the blades, well-contacted is required; which are to comply with the requirements of the procedure documents. And the shrinkage allowance of the liners and the pintles are to comply with the requirements of the plan and the procedure documents.
1.3.5 The inspection on the processing of the tiller and the rudder carrier
1.3.5.1 The tiller is coned with the rudder stock, the processed till taper is to match the rudder stock, color oil uniform exposure; more than 3 points on each 25X25 (mm2), contacting areas are more than 70%; the smaller end of the cone is to keep 6~9mm gap with the surface to tighten the nuts for repair in future.
1.3.5.2 Where the tiller and rudder of cylindrical interference fit, for the shrinkage allowance refer to China Shipbuilding Quality Standards (CB/T4000-2005).
1.3.5.3 The rudder carrier bore at the part of the rudder stock where the rolling bearing is installed, the tolerance of the rolling inner and outer diameter is to satisfy the China Shipbuilding Quality Standards (CB/T4000-2005).
1.3.5.4 After the processing of the friction plane of rudder carrier, color oil inspection is to be carried out when checking the contact status to comply with the procedure documents.
1.3 舵装置的机械加工和装配检验 (以带法兰盘的半悬挂舵为例)
1.3.1 舵杆的加工检验
舵杆加工后应采用磁粉,超声波的方式进行无损探伤,符合相关标准;
按照图纸进行外观尺寸和工作面表面粗糙度测量,需满足图纸或工艺文件的要求;
舵杆法兰连接平面加工,要求平面与舵杆中心线的垂直度不大于0.05mm(指法兰平面范围内);舵杆键槽宽度、深度应符合图纸要求的尺寸公差;
1.3.2 舵杆轴套加工检验
舵杆轴套内孔与外圆按图纸(或工艺尺寸)加工。轴套在加热套至舵杆之前,应用内、外径千分尺分别复测轴套内孔与舵杆轴径尺寸,其过盈量应符合要求。
1.3.3 舵叶加工检验
1.3.3.1 舵叶销孔加工检验
下图所示为悬挂舵的销孔结构图。

加工后测量上、下销孔锥度符合图纸尺寸公差及表面粗糙度要求;
上、下销孔中心应在同一直线上,同轴度偏差参见《中国造船质量标准》(CB/T4000-2005)。
锥孔端面环槽加工尺寸符合图纸尺寸公差。
1.3.3.2 舵叶连接平面加工检验
螺孔加工后应进行螺孔尺寸及其中心距的测量;
连接平面加工后应与舵杆法兰面研配:色油接触均匀,可参考这样的标准,即在每25×5(mm2)面积上不少于2~3点,接触面积大于70%,用0.05mm塞尺检查不能插入,如能插入,则深度不大于15mm。
1.3.4 舵销加工检验
加工后按图纸测量外观尺寸表面粗糙度。舵销锥体部位按舵叶锥孔锥度配制,舵销螺纹按螺母配制。舵销机加工后进行无损探伤,应无裂纹。舵销锥体部位与舵叶上舵销锥体孔研配,要求有良好接触,满足认可的工艺文件要求,舵销衬套与销配合的过盈量应符合图纸或工艺文件要求。
1.3.5 舵柄及上舵承加工检验
1.3.5.1 当舵柄与舵杆为圆锥型配合,舵柄锥孔加工后要求与舵杆研配,色油应接触均匀,在25×25(mm2)面积上接触点大于3点,接触面大于70%。锥体小端应与平面有6~9mm间隙,作为旋紧螺母及以后修理用的余量。
1.3.5.2 当舵柄与舵杆为圆柱型过盈配合,其过盈量见《中国造船质量标准》(CB/T4000-2005)。
1.3.5.3 上舵承本体内孔在舵杆上安装滚动轴承的部位,与滚动轴承内外径的配合公差应满足《中国造船质量标准》(CB/T4000-2005)。
1.3.5.4 上舵承磨擦平面加工后,要求用色油检查接触情况,满足工艺文件的要求。
